Fellow Countrymen Program
Greenville, South Carolina - In 2020, Premier Arts Collective implemented its first art program with Fellow Countrymen, serving homeless veterans and those transitioning to civilian life. The classes are designed to build self-confidence and self-awareness while being a catalyst for healing through the use of art, allowing the process of creating art and free expression to help release the trauma from PTSD, addiction and homelessness.

The first program with Fellow Countrymen was a hands-on class centered on a therapeutic art activity asking the question, “What does God look like in your life?” The program was designed to help the veterans work through the trauma of PTSD, homelessness and addiction. Artist Jared Emerson created his iconic “Face of God” painting on a camouflage canvas.
