Premier Arts Collective is developing a curated art program to serve girls who have been rescued from sex slavery and are under the care of Agape International Missions (AIM) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The program is being created to fit into the current curriculum, the facility, and the ever changing needs of the girls in their care., This program will help create self-confidence and be a catalyst for healing through the art therapy process.
From 2016 - 2021, in collaboration with Agape International Missions (AIM) and artist Troy Murray, Premier Arts Collective conducted four art classes in Cambodia, serving over 100 young girls. Sex trafficking survivors, along with their teachers, participated in the program. Each class focused on utilizing art as a means to heal from their unspeakable trauma.
Agape International Missions (AIM) is a Christ-led, non-denominational, not-for-profit organization that exists to glorify God through their dedicated efforts to love, protect and care for survivors of trafficking as well as other vulnerable and exploited individuals. Through a holistic approach of rescuing, restoring and reintegrating survivors of trafficking and preventing sexual slavery, AIM seeks to meet survivors’ spiritual, emotional, social, educational and physical needs. The intention is that they may come to know their worth and value in Christ, develop a dependence on Him and develop skills for a sustainable life.
